The Real Agenda For Marriage in America

WA Update Side Hdr
The Real Agenda behind Oregon's 'Domestic Partnerships' Bill
March 5, 2008
As reported in today's Medford Mail Tribune, front page, "State Rep. Sal Esquivel, R-Medford, and a GOP state senator from Stayton have filed a proposed initiative that would repeal Oregon's new domestic partnership law for same-sex couples. Esquivel and Fred Girod filed the petition with the Secretary of State's office Friday. A companion initiative that would roll back civil rights protections for gays and lesbians was submitted Monday. Esquivel said he elected to become a chief petitioner on the domestic partnership initiative to protest the 2007 Legislature's failure to refer the politically charged issue to the voters. "I am protesting the process," Esquivel said."
As I and many others have said, so called 'domestic partnerships' in Oregon and elsewhere are but a ruse for the real goal of the activist homosexual community in America, the destruction of marriage altogether.
Peter Jensen in today's Oregonian, in an article about an effort to expand rights of gay couples in Washington State, quoted Rep. Jamie Pedersen, D-Seattle, as saying,
"We've been very clear since we announced our plans last year that our ultimate goal is marriage," said Pedersen, who is gay. "There's some chance -- depending on how things go in November -- that we could have a real conversation next year."

Republicans criticized the expansion bill as eroding traditional marriage and tried to put it up for a vote in November. But Democrats, who control the Legislature, rejected the move.

"This bill radically increases the number of rights to domestic partners," said Sen. Dan Swecker, R-Rochester. "It would take little to achieve gay marriage aside from a name change. Once we go that far, marriage will become meaningless."
Sound familiar? The homosexual community knows that to allow the people to vote on this issue, they would lose. That is why neither the democrats in the Washington legislature and their counterparts in the Oregon legislature and their friends in the Elections Division, want the people to vote on domestic partnerships or special rights, protections and privileges for homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders, or those who would use the guise of 'gender confusion'.
They know that if the public really found out that 'gender identity' allows sexual predators to prey upon our wives and daughters in public places, the outrage would spill over into the ballot box like a heat seeking missile.

Hello Everyone:
For the sake of space on the comments, we will offer this info.
Marriage is one man one woman it has always been so.
to bond same sex is to erode the union that is set forth by God.

And in answer to the many comments about rights, we ALL have them in the Constitution of the United States.
No special rights are to be granted for a sexual preference. (aka a personal choice)
So if people think this is bigoted, then they must think that the Constitution is a bigoted document.

God's Grace And The Homosexual Next Door

Author Alan Chambers (a former homosexual) and four of his colleagues at Exodus International offer practical and biblical insights on how both individuals and churches can become a haven for homosexuals seeking freedom from same-sex attraction.

In this comprehensive guide to helping homosexuals, readers will learn about the roots of homosexuality, God's radical grace for sexual sinners, how to reach youth both within and outside the church, dealing with fear and ignorance in the church, leading homosexuals to Christ, mentoring homosexuals in the church, three degrees of homosexuality: militant, moderate or repentant, what not to do in reaching out to homosexuals and much more about this often perplexing subject.

Homosexual Couple Sues University over Married-Housing Denial

A same-sex couple is suing the University of Hawaii after being excluded from married student housing on campus.

Joseph O’Leary and Phi Ngo applied for family housing, but the university denied their request, stating that Hawaii has defined marriage as between one man and one woman. A 1998 constitutional amendment reserves the right of the Legislature to limit marriage.

Jeff Johnston, gender issues analyst for Focus on the Family, said the state has a vested interest in keeping traditional families intact.

“The state recognizes marriage as a unique institution to help a couple stay together and bring up the next generation,” he said. “Because the state of Hawaii recognizes this, gay activists are bypassing the Legislature and the people and attacking marriage in the courts. I hope the court stands strong and affirms Hawaii’s definition of marriage
